Child Care Funding

Affordable child care with government funding

At Children’s Choice Day Care, we’re proud to be a qualified licensed childcare centre participating in both the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) and the Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) programs. Eligible families can receive significant savings on childcare costs through these provincial programs, making quality early learning more affordable.

CCFRI

Eligible families automatically receive reduced childcare fees through government funding.

ACCB

Additional financial assistance may be available based on your family's income and individual circumstances.

Children's Choice is an approved childcare provider participating in both funding programs.

CCFRI

Parent Fee Reduction Program

Eligible families may benefit from the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative, a BC government program that helps lower the cost of licensed childcare. Depending on your child’s age and program, families may receive monthly fee reductions of up to $900 per child.

Funding amounts are determined by the Province of British Columbia and are subject to eligibility requirements and program guidelines. Many families may also qualify for additional savings by combining CCFRI with the Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB).

ACCB

Affordable Child Care Benefit

Eligible families in British Columbia may receive ACCB funding of up to $1,250 per child per month, helping reduce the cost of licensed childcare. To qualify, parents or guardians must be BC residents with eligible residency status, and children must attend an approved licensed childcare centre for a valid reason such as employment, education, job search, medical needs, or preschool. In most cases, families with a combined household income of up to $111,000 may be eligible.

Group / Multi-Age Child Care

  • Under 19 months: Up to $1,250
  • 19–36 months: Up to $1,060
  • 37 months to school age: Up to $550

Family / In-Home Multi-Age Care

  • Under 19 months: Up to $1,250
  • 19–36 months: Up to $1,000
  • 37 months to school age: Up to $550
  • School-age children: Up to $415

Other Programs

  • Preschool (30mo–school age): Up to $225
  • Before & After School Care: Up to $210

Available funding is based on family income, family size, your child’s age, the childcare program, and monthly attendance. Funding for fewer than 20 days per month may be prorated, and children with designated special needs may qualify for additional support. Families should apply before the end of the month childcare services are required to receive eligible BC child care funding.
